Wretches and Jabberers: "More like you than not"

Wretches and Jabberers is wonderful new film coming to South Florida in April, just in time for Autism Awareness month. I plan to see it, the trailer looks truly thought-provoking. The film follows two men with autism who travel the world together. Although they can speak in a limited way, from the neurotypical world perspective, they communicate eloquently by using a communication device. The phrase "more like you than not" haunts me. Larry and Tracy are two fascinating people, whether they have autism, or not.

If you click here you can watch the trailer, see if your city is on the screening list, and check out their blogs.

This looks like a very poignant film. Hopefully the nature of the media through which the message is being communicated will facilitate increased awareness of autism.

It's a shame there are no screenings in the UK any time soon, as I would like to see the full film rather than just the trailer!
